Hi, I'm Ava Adoline, a writer, adventurer, and advocate for a slow-paced, nature-centric lifestyle. Welcome! Rewilding Child is more than a blog; it's a birthplace for a community focused on deep connections and exploring our relationship with nature.
The Journey:
Rewilding Child was born in August 2023 from a dream of mine to engage with people invested in unearthing our freest spirit while falling in love with a life interwoven with our natural world.
While it encompasses aspects of a travel and lifestyle blog, Rewilding Child refuses to be boxed into one category. Driven by the spirit of rewilding itself, the content mirrors the organic flow of inspiration that bubbles within. Some posts I write while backpacking or adventuring and I love sharing those stories with you all. Other thoughts come from reflecting on conversations, readings, or dreams.
While broad by nature, there are a few main themes I’ll be threading throughout my writing here:

Healing our relationship with nature
How can activities such as gardening, outdoor journaling or meditation, backpacking, or even watching the sun rise help us feel nourished and inspired?

Connecting with our inner child
How can we rediscover the silliness and playfulness we had as children? How can tapping into a state of wonder open us to magic and manifesting and a deeper sense of freedom?

Exploring our purpose and path
How can we embody more love? How can we embrace the juicy questions of what it means to walk on our highest path?

About Me:
I am a writer. A deep feeler. A lover of adventure, long hugs, and dark chocolate. I've been goal-oriented for most of my life-- studying diligently, earning a degree in Journalism, and involving myself in lots of extracurriculars, teams, volunteering, the list goes on (and boy how I loved lists).
During the pandemic, I took a gap year and went to live and work on an organic homestead farm. It changed me. I learned to slow down, tap into my feelings, and fall in love with a slow-paced, low-stress life. Most importantly I connected deeply with the land. I fell in love with planting and harvesting and living outside.
I'd never felt freer. I've been on a journey of rewilding ever since.
Join the Journey:
It would mean the world to me if you chose to be a part of this journey with me. I'll be sharing weekly content about my all the forementioned themes as well as my travels and ethusiasm for life! I believe this can be a space to connect with our highest selves (by this I mean our healthiest, most authentic, and free selves) and create a world in which we are loving toward ourselves, each other, and our beautiful planet.
If you'd like to receive email notifications when I post you can enter your email HERE at the top of the "stories" tab on my site. Thank you for being here. Thank you for being you.
